Registration closed for the Flight B of Signature Poker Series Event 1 with 71 entries. That puts a total of 172 in the tournament with five more flights to go and their eyes on the $250,000 guarantee.

Flight B will continue until nine players remain and they will advance ot Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am. Players must bag chips to cash in the tournament.

After a quick run during hand-for-hand, the 13 remaining players began bagging up their chips for Day 2. They are in the money when they return on Sunday at 11 am and set for a big day.

Randy Raji led the field most of the day but was topped by Damian Dvorak at the end. Dvorak was the big stack with 567,000 followed by Raji’s 529,000.

The second flight of the Signature Poker Series opener starts at  6pm and it looks to build on the great turnout this morning. Flight A of the $500 buy-in tournament drew 101 entries to put it on a path to crush its $250,000 guarantee.

Players start with 30K in their stacks and the first 19 levels last 30 minutes before increasing to 40 for the duration. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time.

Play will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and survivors return on Sunday at 11 am for Day 2.

While players were away from the tables for their second break, we took a walk around to see who had the best of times over the first eight levels.

It wasn’t too hard to find our leader, when Randy Raji started his break late after a turn doing the color up for his table. He is outpacing the rest of the field with 357,000 while his new tablemate Julio Novo is second with 259,000.
