Registration closed for Flight D of the PPO Monster Stack with 85 entries, putting the combined total at 323 for the tournament. That leaves the field only 77 new entries shy of the $100,000 guarantee and they will get there in Flight E tomorrow.

Then we run it up with three big weekend flights.

It was a quick end to Flight D, with the bubble bursting midway through Level 14 with not much hassle.

Grant Missonis bagged the flight lead with 1,395,000 followed by Sandro Vianna’s 1,305,000. Vianna got there late when he doubled with queens versus sixes; they held to give him a nice big stack coming back on Sunday.

Flight D of the PPO Monster Stack gets underway at the top of the hour, getting us one step closer to the $100,000 guarantee and a busy weekend coming up.

Players sit with huge 100K stacks and the first 24 levels last 30 minutes before going up to 40 for the rest of the tournament. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm and players may fire as often as needed during that time.

Action will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and survivors will come back to the Poker Room on Sunday at 11 am for Day 2.

While players were away from the tables during the second break, we found one big stack standing out among the rest. Even after the purple chip color up, Lucas Sadowski still had a castle in front.
