Registration closed for Flight B of the $700 Deep Stack Challenge with 190 entries putting the combined total at 292, a great turnout for a Monday/Tuesday tournament. They created a prize pool worth $178,120 and we will post the payout information and seat draw after the Day 2 field is set.

Flight B will continue until 24 players remain and survivors will return for Day 2 tomorrow at 1 pm to play to a champ.

Flight B players returned from their first break and everyone is chasing Alan Phillips at the top of the counts. He spun his 30K starting stack up to 149,300 for a decent start to his day. Phillips already owns a Winter Poker Open trophy from 2016 plus one from Hollywood.

The prize pool topped $130,000 this afternoon and it will continue to grow with late registration available until 7:45 pm.

The second flight of the WPO $700 Deep Stack Challenge gets underway after the first flight do most of the heavy lifting. Flight A drew 102 entries to fly past the $50,000 guarantee and today we push the prize pool even higher.

Players start with 30K stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 at 7:45 pm. Flight B will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and they will advance to Day 2 tomorrow at 1 pm in the money.
