Flight A is quickly down to the last four tables of the day as some tough players took some tough beats. Perhaps none as hard as Terri-Anne Crawford when she got her stack in the middle with AcAh against Justin Jones’s ThTs only for a ten to hit the QdTc2c flop to sent her out late.

Angela Jordison was also a recent elimination, going out against Dion Jagroo who stacked up to 239,000.

Mark Wiser in happier times

Mark Wiser made a move for his stack of 17,500 with AcTd but ran into Ken McAdams’s KsKd. The 8s5c2c flop was not help, Wiser picked up a club draw on the 7c turn, but could not find a save on the Qs river.

He was sent out while McAdams built a bigger stack.

Ken McAdams – 165,000 (103 bb)

Tarun Gulati

The entry count is moving up and some players are as well. Tarun Gulati and RJ Sullivan are making a bid to hold the chip lead at dinner break in an hour and doing well.

Gulati is up to 134,100 and among the leaders while Sullivan built his stack up to 115,000 with a nice recent run.

Ken McAdams

The second break has come and gone and players are back in their seats to play three more levels before the dinner break.

Ken McAdams is the big stack in the room with 129,000 with Alex Ivan not far behind with 124,600. McAdams made a big splash last year when he finished 18th out of 1,566 in the 2021 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship in Hollywood for $33K.

Level 6: 400/800 with a 800 ante
Day 1A Entries:  79

Alex Ivan

We didn’t see how the chips got in the middle but walked up to the table with stacks all over the place and two all-in buttons. Raminder Singh was thinking through his option with two 5K chips already bet and two players already all in.

The small blind was all in for 65,500 and Alex Ivan reshipped for 77,000. Singh worked his way to a decision to fold his hand.

Ivan: KsKh
Small Blind: AsKc

Ivan had a monster and the small blind player could not catch up on the Qd8c2c6s4c board. He was sent out before the second break while it looks like Ivan now leads with 152,000.

Julio Delgado

We jumped over 70 entries for Flight A and cruising along with a happy vibe at the tables. With deep stacks and slow structure, no one is any hurry to get fancy.’

More familiar faces include Clyde Maliauka, Tarun Gulati, and John Dolan, along with three WPO champs from this year in Julio Delgado, Jack Sumner, and Raminder Singh.
