Event 6: Jeff Hardin Doubles Through Adam Jaffe

Jeff Hardin open-shipped for 64,000 and it folded to Adam Jaffe in the cutoff. He called the shove and the button and blinds folded.

Jaffe was leading the race but Hardin jumped ahead with a queen in the window of the Qd7d3d flop. He needed to fade the nines and diamonds in the deck then pulled a double after the 6s turn and 5s river.

After the dinner break, Joey Zahn and Cody Hernandez got all the chips in the middle, Hernandez on the button and Zahn in the big blind. Hernandez was ahead with QcQh against Ad9d and held after the Js6h5d7cQs board.

The stacks were counted down and Hernadez was at risk for 154,000. Zahn was left with 20K and eliminated on the next hand by Karl Manouchakian.

Event 6 was sent on a 40-minute dinner break shortly after they made it into the money. Dion Jagroo was eliminated in 12th place and the 11 remaining took a long walk.

The $1,100 Deep Stack is heading toward its $75,000 guarantee and should get there with plenty of time to spare. Registration will remain open until 4:30 pm so there’s time to get down here and join in.

Tony March shrunk the field by one after the break. The cutoff player open-shipped for 9,300 and March called in the small blind. The at risk player was ahead with As6h but March made a pair with his KdQc on the QdTs3c5s7h board to send him out and March is up to 77,300 early in the day.
