After a long stretch with few showdowns and no seven-digit pots, Alexander Orlov decided to make a stand. Paul Snead opened to 125,000 from the button and Orlov moved all in for 580,000. Snead asked for a count and called.

Orlov was ahead for a double but needed to fade the two suited live cards. The 8h8c8s flop changed nothing and Orlov had his double after the Kd turn and Td river.

Action folded to Brian Altman on the button and he moved all in having both stacks covered in the blinds. Alexander Orlov folded his small blind and Sean Conklin quickly called in the big.

Conklin was in great shape for a double up and improved on the KdQc8d flop. The 4s turn and 3d river finished the board to give Conklin the double and Altman was left with only 85,000.

Those went in the middle on the next hand and his KsQs ran into the KhKd of Siddharth Siddharth to send the three-time WPT champ out in ninth place.
