Ryan Hogan, 2022 PPO Event 1 champ

The 2022 Pinktober Poker Open kicked off the series with a $400 No Limit Hold’em tournament that featured a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. After a tough final table, Ryan Hogan took the top spot in a heads-up deal to win the title along with $47,073.

The tournament drew 985 entries over six starting flights and created a prize pool worth $329,975. A total of 101 players advanced to Day 2 on Sunday and were all in the money coming back.

Hogan was among the top stacks coming back and stayed with the leaders throughout the day. Julio Novo had a big lead to start the final table, but Hogan chipped away until the two were heads-up. Hogan held the lead and took the top spot as they split the remaining prize pool right down the middle.

Hogan picked up his third major Tampa title and all in different series. His first came during the 2020 Tampa Winter Poker Open, and he won his second early in 2022 during the Tampa Poker Classic.

Congrats Ryan!
