Brent Ballentine came into the final table of Event #4 second in chips, but after an hour of play in which they lost two players, Ballentine had taken the lead. That’s when the final seven players agreed to an ICM deal to split up the remaining prizepool.

As chipleader, Ballentine was awarded the trophy and the title, along with $12,271.

Registration closed on the WPT Tampa Event 4 freeze-out with a clean 250 entries. They created a prize pool over $80,000 for a nice number with everyone limited to a single entry.

Now that Day 2 is set for WPT Tampa Event 1, we roll out two new tournaments on the schedule today with the first getting underway at 10 am. Event 4 is a $400 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a freeze-out structure.

Players start with 20,000 stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one-day trophy tournament. Late registration is available until the start of Level 5 at 12:15 pm with no re-entries allowed. One shot to get the trophy.

Cards go in the air at the top of the hour and we will hit the highlights along the way.
