With the board showing Qc8c4c10s on the turn and about 35K already in the pot, Jonathan Jaffe bet 10,000 from UTG+1, Shawn Cunix moved all in from the hijack, and Jaffe called all in for about 90,000 with KhQh for a pair of queens.

Cunix turned over 10d8s for two pair, tens and eights. Jaffe needed to improve to stay alive.

The river card was the 5c, and Cunix won the pot with his two pair to eliminate Jaffe.

Jason Young

Two of the nearly 1,000 entries into the Championship come courtesy of a freeroll. The last two Seminole Hard Rock Poker Players of the Year were given an entry into this tournament and our other major Championships as part of their winner’s package.

Jason Young is here as the 2019 SHRPO POY. He earned those titles after a 2019 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood win and WSOP Circuit Coconut Creek Main Event final table. Young’s package was set to put him into the big events for 2020 but the lockdown pushed it back.

David Nathaniel is the reigning POY and put his entry to use yesterday, advancing to Day 2 with 207,000.

This is already the biggest prize pool in our history and it’s only going to grow.
