We kicked off the 2021 Tampa Winter Poker Open with a great turnout for the opening tournament. Event 1 was a $300 buy-in tournament with a $50,000 guarantee that was nearly doubled as the 398 entries push the prize pool reached $99.500. Jimmy Sanchez cruised and took the win along with $12,244 in a seven-way deal

The tournament played into the evening and the eventual final table. After tough players Fernando Rodriguez and Brandon Byars were eliminated, the last seven players reached a deal to divide up the remaining prize pool with Sanchez getting the win, the cash, and the WPO trophy.

The first tournament on the Winter Poker Open schedule set a great pace for the series. The $300 One-Day 50K drew a huge 398-entry crowd to nearly double the $50,000 guarantee.

They created a prize pool worth $99,500 with the last 40 spots getting paid. A min-cash is worth $690 while the Event 1 champion will earn $22,680 and the WPO trophy.

December is here and that means it’s time to kick off the 2021 Tampa Winter Poker Open. A full slate of games getting underway at 11 am with a big one-day tournament. Event 1 has a $300 buy-in with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 25,000 stacks out front and all levels last 25 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:50 pm with unlimited re-entry options available during that time. They will take a break after Level 17 and return to play it out for the Event 1 title.
