Event 1 Day 1B: Jim Farnsworth Eliminated by Adam Farjam

$400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$50,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 3:  100/200 with a 200 ante
Day 1B Entries:  55

Jim Farnsworth

“Hey, come get a picture of the biggest stack in the room,” Jim Farnsworth said to the guy with a camera.

He was sitting with a single 500 denom chip so definitely not the biggest in the room but he was going with it.

Farnsworth put that in the middle, Adam Farjam called, and Jerome Hall raised to 3,000. Farjam was not particularly happy with the raise but called and they checked it down until the board read Td8s5d2dQc.

Farjam checked one last time, Hall bet 4,000 and Farjam unhappily called. His mood changed when he saw his paired ten with JhTh was best against Hall’s airball Kc3c to take the bigger side pot. Farnsworth showed 6s5s for a pair of fives, not good enough to keep this entry alive but he was soon back in the game.

Event 1 Day 1B: Bill Isbell Gets Us There

Bill Isbell

While we were keeping one eye on the clock for Event 1 to hit the guarantee, we kept the other on the registration desk to see who put the tournament over the $50,000 guarantee.

That player was none other than SHR Tampa regular Bill Isbell. He was contemplating getting in the game this morning, made a decision, and taking his shot at the big game. Isbell was entry 25 today to be the first person to put more than $50,000 in the prize pool.

Ryan Hogan stormed ahead late in the day and bagged the lead with 488,000. He held off a late charge by Siddharth Siddharth who was a close second with 482,000.
