We found Daniel Clemente in today’s field. The Event 1 outright champ skipped the $600 tournament and jumped into the $1,700 for a chance to take home a second trophy.

As expected with the deep, slow structure of the tournament, no one went on break with a massive lead at this stage. The two biggest stacks seemed to belong to Alan Thomas with 91,800 and Ken O’Donnell at 90,000.
Both players made the Event 3 final table last night and were back in the Poker Room for the big game. O’Donnell registered for the tournament not long before the first break so his big stack is even that much more impressive.

Day 1A players are about to head on their first break of the day with 24 entries showing up before we rolled into the afternoon hours. That puts the field nearly 25% towards the $150K guarantee with a lot of time to register.

All the preliminary events are in the books and it’s time to roll out the big one. The $1,700 Super Stacks Main Event gets underway this morning at 10 am with the first of three starting flights. The tournament features a $150,000 guarantee, deep stacks, and slow structure.
Players start with 50,000 out front and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes, going up to 60 minutes on Day 2 and 90 from Level 23 from that point forward. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Sunday at noon.
The opening flights will continue through 14 levels and survivors will return for Day 2. It will be an exciting final weekend of the series.
Action starts at 10 am and we will pick up coverage after the first break.
