Day 1A came to an end with 15 players of 52 entries advancing to Day 2 on Sunday at noon. Interesting coincidence at the end, Jason Goldman and James Maiti spent most of the day sitting next to each other and both put 361,000 in their bag as co-leaders. Brian Arbaugh is third with 338,000 and the rest will be chasing them.

We will post the full chip count list as soon as it is available.

Aaron Thivyanathan

The entry count is up to 48 for Flight A to get the field nearly halfway to the $150,000 guarantee with two huge flights to go, tomorrow at 10 am and Saturday at the same time.

While that number went up, the players remaining went down. Tournament staff shrunk them down to three tables with 22 players in contention for a Day 2 bag.

Aaron Thivyanathan is among the recent entries and he had a nice summer with us. He finished second in the $2,200 NLH tournament during the WPT Tampa series and picked up a win in the July $1,100 One-Day Challenge tournament.
