Alex Rocha helped run out the High Roller prize pool

The $2,200 High Roller took a couple levels to get rolling but, once it did, off they went. They quickly pushed the prize pool over the $100,000 guarantee and added another $50,000 for good measure before the second break.

The $2,200 High Roller entry count is taking a steady climb north and it will be close to hitting the $100,000 guarantee at the first break.

Jeffrey Trudeau Jr is one of the more recent entries and also one of the more accomplished WSOP Circuit players in the room. He owns seven rings so far with his most recent coming in the $2,200 High Roller at our sister property in Coconut Creek.

Brian Altman

The $2,200 High Roller kicked off at the top of the hour with 20 entries at the start with many more expected. With late registration open until the start of Day 2, there is no hurry.

Brian Altman is making his first appearance in the Event Center and riding a nice heater. Last month he made history in Hollywood as the first player to ever win the same WPT event twice; his first LHPO win was in 2015 and he backed it up this past January. Altman kept right on going and made the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open a week later and will play that out in a few weeks in Las Vegas.
