Alon Eldar raised UTG+1 to 130,000, Eugenio Pernia moved all in from the small blind for 440,000, and the player in the big blind tanked for a while before he moved all in over the top for about 850,000. Eldar quickly folded.

Pernia turned over Ad9d, but he was dominated by the big blind’s AhAc.

Eldar clapped his hands in celebration after seeing the pocket aces, saying he laid down a big hand.

The board came QhJs9s9hJd, and Pernia paired his nine on the flop, turned trips, and rivered a full house to win the pot and double up in chips.

Eugenio Pernia  –  1,060,000  (21 bb)
Alon Eldar  –  2,060,000  (41 bb)

With 32 players remaining, the average chip stack is about 1,285,000 (26 big blinds), and the remaining players are all guaranteed to earn at least $1,695 each.

Justin Zaki

The Monster Stack field is dropping fast and down to seven tables after less than 90 minutes. The payout line is getting long and we will catch up on results once things settle.

We still have plenty of Tampa regulars in the game trying to keep the Florida win streak alive this series. Among them we found Justin Zaki, John Alegria, and Cheri Beatty trying to keep the ring in the house.

David Tuthill

Level 22 came to an end and tournament staff sent players on a quick 10-minute break so that 1K chips could be taken out of play. There was a quick run to the payout desk over the first 40 minutes and the field dropped quickly.

David Tuthill did not join them. He found an early double when his TcTs was good against Ac6c on the Qd7c2s8sQd board and moved up to 460,000.

Tuthill is on a nice run over the first part of the series and he took the lead in the Casino Championship race last night. He won the $400 Turbo event on Saturday for his second career ring and finished sixth place last night in the $1,125 Pot Limit Omaha game.
