Event 7: Big Action On Table 17

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 3: Blinds 75/150

Osama Ismail
Osama Ismail

Before the blinds went up:

Seat 4 opened for 300 early, seat 7 three-bet from the cutoff, Osama Ismail flatted from the button, seat 2 (bb) flatted, then seat 4 four-bet to 2,800.  Seat 7 flatted, then Osama jammed for ~27k.

Seat 2 tanked for a minute, then folded what he later said was pocket Queens.  Seat 4 folded and seat 7 called.

Osama: QhQd
Seat 7: 9s9h

Board: 8d7d4s4d5c

Osama’s Queens held up and he doubled up to over 60k.

A few hands later, Marvin Karlins is all-in on a flop of T T 8 and doubles up to about 20k with AT against pocket Jacks.

Marvin didn’t last long, busting out a few minutes later.  Not sure if he plans to re-enter.

Event 7: Late Registration & Re-Entry

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed

Level 2: Blinds 50/100

Eighteen tables are in action early today with plenty of room for more.

Late registration and re-entry are available for this event until the start of level 7 (about3:30pm).  Players who bust out may choose to re-enter as many times as they like until registration closes.

Once registration closes for this flight, players can still register for the final flight, Flight F, at 7pm tonight.

If a player plays more than one flight and bags chips more than once, they will take their best stack into Day 2 (no combining).

Event 7: Incentives

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed

Level 1: Blinds 25/50

In case a half-million dollar prize pool isn’t enough of an incentive, we’ve got more.

The chip leader at the end of each of the six starting flights will receive a $3,500 seat in the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Summer Poker Open Championship Event (June 12-18).

The eventual winner will also receive a $3,500 seat in the Championship Event.  If it happens to be a player who already has a seat, they can cash the second seat in if they bag chips on their first day of the Championship.  Of course if they bust out, they can fire their second bullet on the next starting day.

And if that’s not enough, there’s also the signature Hard Rock trophy guitar!

Event 7: Flight E Underway

“I’m too tried to count,” says Rich Milroy (St. Petersburg, FL) who bags 398,800 (200 bb) which is twice the count as any other player in the flight. He also has nearly a 150k chip lead over every player in the first four flights.

Milroy won a monster 375k chip pot late in the night which helped him earn the $3,500 Championship Event seat bonus as chip leader.

“I’ll try not to let it effect my play,” says Milroy of his chip count heading into Sunday’s Day 2.

Players have two more flights Saturday to take a shot at the $500,000 Guaranteed prize pool.  Flight E takes off at 11 am, while Flight F goes at 7 pm.

Currently 129 players have advanced from 477 entries; the average chip stack is 92k (46 bb)

as Lindo (standing) Loses the Last of his Chips

During the last level, three of the four biggest stacks were all on Table 4, now only two of them are there.

Chip Leader Rich Milroy, Oscar Lindo (3rd in chips) and “Carwash” Williams (4th) see a flop of 8d7c5s.

Williams checks, Lindo checks, Milroy bets 20k, Williams folds and Lindo calls.

Turn: Ad

Lindo checks, Milroy bets 20k, Lindo check-raises to 60k, Milroy calls.

River: 5c

Lindo open shoves 96k and Milroy snap calls.

Lindo: 9s6c (flopped straight)
Milroy: 8h8c (flopped set, rivered full house)

Lindo can’t believe his straight is rundown by a full house and he’s out after losing the 375k pot.

Milroy extends his chip lead by taking his mega stack to more than 400k (300+ bb). The huge pot also earns him our Seminole Hard Rock, Hard Play of the Day.
