$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 10: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante

Players are back on the felt following the color-up break.  About 110 remain in Flight E for an average stack of 61k.

They’ve got three more levels to go before the bag & tag.  Those who don’t have any chips to bag have Flight F to look forward to at 7pm.

Jeff Trudeau is one of those, according to his Tweet:

Event 7: Elkhatib Kracks Kings

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 9: Blinds 400/800/75 ante

End of level and time for a break!

Ronnie Elkhatib
Ronnie Elkhatib

In earlier action, Ronnie Elkhatib opened for 2,500 and Antoinette Fiorenza three-bet to 6,000.  Ronnie called.

The flop fell T 3 3 and Ronnie checked.  Antoinette bet 15,000 and Ronnie called.  Turn was a 6 and again Ronnie checked.  Antoinette shoved and Ronnie called all-in for less.

Antoinette had pocket Kings, but Ronnie’s A3 suited had flopped trips.  The river was an inconsequential 2.  Ronnie doubled up to ~167k, leaving Antoinette with about 50k.

Event 7: Quadzilla Tramples Table 1

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

John Shealy
John Shealy

Shortly after the last break, John ‘Fathead’ Shealy catapulted himself into the chip lead in a monster hand.

Four players were all-in pre-flop holding pocket 9s, pocket Queens, pocket Kings, and John had pocket Aces.  He also had the other three covered.

It was all over on the flop when John flopped quad Aces.  The other three players hit the rail — no word on whether they plan to try again in Flight F at 7pm.

John, who is a fan of the Fathead® wall decals, chipped up to about 190,000 to claim the chip lead.

David Ciener

A short stack got all-in with a flush draw against David Ciener’s set of 7s.

The shortie didn’t make his flush.  The case 7 hit the river, giving David the monster hand — Quadzilla! — for the knockout.

Another player hit the rail as David took his stack up to about 43k.

Event 7: Ryan Sponaugle Boats Up

$560 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 5: Blinds 150/300/50 ante

Ryan Sponaugle

Six players see a flop of 9 8 2 with three hearts.  Then it comes down to the blinds.  Seat 9 (sb) gets all his chips in the middle and called by Ryan Sponaugle (bb).    Seat 9 has KhJh for the flush and leads Ryan’s 8s2s for two pair.

Then Ryan catches another deuce on the river for the full house to take the pot, sending his opponent to the rail.  Ryan chipped up to about 36k.

Ryan finished second in the Winter Poker Open Championship here in December for over $72,000.
