Richard Carr is in pole position with nine left in the$1,650 buy-in Winter Poker Open. Carr bagged 4,250,000 chips on Day 2 and edges out James Peterson’s 4,115,000-chip stack just slightly. Others among the finalists include Tampa regulars Alex Ivan and Michael Turton as well as the reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Brett Bader.

Each player still in has locked up $19,023, but all eye the $180,205 score and guitar trophy reserved for 1st place.
