With the prize pool expected to comfortably exceed $500,000, Tampa-area players are converging on the Seminole Hard Rock to earn their share of the action. Over on Table 14, a pair of Seminole Hard Rock Poker standouts are in their seats jockeying for a score that would only add to already stout Florida tournament resumes.

The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year race begins in September during Immokalee’s WPTDeepStacks and concludes in August at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood. Nathan Papp is the current leader for this year’s race having kicked off the season with a W in the WPTDeepStacks-Immokalee and continued his good play at that property with a runner-up finish in the Seminole Immokalee Poker Challenge a few months later.

Joining Papp at his Flight B table is reigning SHRP Player of the Year, David Prociak. As POY, Prociak earned a tournament buy-in package that included free entry in today’s Main Event.
More information on the SHRP POY race is available at HardRockPoker.com.
