Jeff Trudeau had a long Thursday and Friday that reaped no rewards. The Florida pro played deep into those $1,650 Main Event flights getting past the dinner break and even working up a top stack on Day 1A. In the end, a bag eluded him and he’s here on Day 1C hoping for some luck on his final start day.

He recently hit a bump on that road to a bag after there was a bet and a call on board. The action went as follows: Trudeau checked and Haim Toorgeman bet 3,700. A late-position player called. It was back on Trudeau and he raised to 18,000. Toorgeman got out of the way. The late-position player called and Trudeau tabled for a pair. The player took a moment to decipher the hand, but eventually flipped over for the best of it.

Trudeau surrendered the pot and was knocked below 10,000.
