Defending champion David Bradshaw

The David Bradshaw show continues here in Flight C of the Winter Poker Open Main Event. Rewind to two days ago and the defending champion owned 220,000 chips on dinner break of Flight A. He hit some bumps in the late stages of play and ultimately didn’t find a bag.

Now in Flight C, he’s enjoying more of what got him to the top two days ago. He recently picked up pocket queens preflop and outdrew the pocket aces of Joe Buonodono after spiking a queen. A few hands later, we caught up with him playing a medium-sized pot against Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah. Second pair was good for Bradshaw and he scooped some of Maddah’s chips.

David Bradshaw (Seat 3) holds second pair and bests Wally Maddah’s (Seat 5) ace-queen high

With that, he sits on about 95,000 and leads the field during first break.
