The WPTDeepStacks-Tampa Main Event marked the third largest finale in the tour’s history. From 704 starting entries, the field is down to 127 and Day 2 is underway.

Leading the way is Mike “Gascard” Collins. Collins bagged a monster in Flight A, sealing up a stack of 457,000. He’s one of three players over the 400,000 mark headlining the trio that includes second in chips Maroun Akiki and third in chips Haroon Samnani.

There’s a slew of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa regulars still in as well. Karl Manouchakian (369,000), defending WPTDeepStacks Main Event champion Anthony Astarita (227,000) and the room’s ambassador Wally Maddah (46,500) mark just a few of the notables.

The top 72 finishers earn a payday with a min-cash worth $1,992. Payouts escalate from there and top out in a $162,354 first prize. (that number is inclusive of a $3,000 WPTDeepStacks Championship package). In addition, the champs earns an added seat in the $5,250 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in August and the property’s signature guitar trophy.
