Austin Buchanan returns for Day 2 with a huge chip lead

The opening flights of the Winter Poker Open Main Event are complete and only 71 players remain with a chance at the title along with nearly $150,000. They return this morning at 11 am to play down to the Main Event final table which will finish up tomorrow afternoon.

Austin Buchanan put a massive bag together in Flight A and his 639,000 stayed the top stack through the last two flights. In fact, the top three counts from the first flight held their spots with Ken O’Donnell and Haitham Kaki sitting pretty as well.

Blind levels increase to 60 minutes long and will stay that way until tomorrow when they are heads-up for the trophy.

Action will get back underway at the top of the hour and the first order of business will the money bubble. Of those 71 returners, only 48 will take home part of the $718,500 prize pool.
