While Day 2 of the WPO Main Event was playing down, we had one last guitar trophy event to kick off. WPO Event 8 was a $400 buy-in Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em game that rewarded players a $100 bounty for knocking out an opponent. In the early morning hours, Harmeet Chawla took home the outright title along with $9,707 and the guitar trophy.

The tournament drew 153 entries to make the main prize pool worth $35,955 and a $15,300 bounty prize pool. That last 16 players earned a piece and they made the money shortly after the dinner break.

Harmeet Chawla outlasted the entire field to take home his second major Tampa title of the year following his WSOP Circuit win here in February. Chawla began his series on a roll when he finished fifth out of 811 entries in Event 2 and closed it out with a win.
