The last preliminary tournament before the TPC Main Event drew more than 200 entries and Anthony Askey walked away with his second career Tampa title after a three-way deal that saw him earn $22,798,
Event 6 had a $600 buy-in and the 219 entries pushed the prize pool up to $112,785. The last 22 players made the money including Wally Maddah, Jeff Trudeau, Filipp Khavin, Oscar Lindo, and Steve Trizis.
Askey made a three-way deal at the final table with Ryan Luker and Michael Paski to add a Tampa guitar trophy to go along with his WSOP Circuit Tampa ring from last February.
