After just over five hours of play, the 184-entry field in today’s 2pm $150 buy-in Deep Stack Turbo event is down to the final 27. Out in front with a stack of 470,000 is Josias Santos who left his mark on this property during the WPTDeepStacks-Tampa series this summer.

Santos started the series off with a 22nd-place finish in the 698-entry opener, then followed it up with a fourth-place finish and $18,000 score a few days later in a $350.

His stack in the Turbo is good for now, but with 15-minute levels and rising blinds he’ll need to keep winning pots if he hopes to steamroll into the money.
