The players return from break in the Turbo event to begin Level 9, with blinds at 500-1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante.
A scan of the field during the break turned up Randell Summers as the chipleader with 74,500 (75 big blinds), followed by Ben Brown with 70,000 (70 big blinds).
Brown earned his big stack in a three-way all-in situation where he caught a lucky river card. According to Brown, all three players put in 8,000 each on a flop of , and then they got it all in on the turn on a relatively unimportant card.
One player turned over for the lead, the second player turned over , and Brown turned over , and only an eight on the river would save him.
Sure enough, the river card was an , and Brown won the pot with two pair, tens and eights, to build up his big stack.
Registration has just closed for this Turbo event, and the tournament clock shows an unofficial field size of 76 entries. The official field and payouts should be available soon, and we will post that information here in the updates.
