Greg Marcus says he took a beating in Vegas and came home to Florida to get his mojo back at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Summer Poker Open. Marcus chops four ways with winner Angel Vu ($69,833), Vincent Fiorenza and James Sutherland.

“I just wanted to have fun and play the game,” says Marcus who earns $56,501 the same as Fiorenza and Sutherland. This is Marcus’ largest tournament score saying, “it’s a culmination of grinding and staying positive.”

Marcus says he had a “rough time in Vegas,” where he was 0 for 5 in tournaments and never made it to the ante levels. “I came here to have fun and it worked out, it’s amazing.”

Marcus works in real estate and is a semi professional player. This is his 10th recorded tournament cash this year, including an 11th place finish in the Lucky Hearts Poker Open at Coconut Creek for $20,000.
