We followed some quickly moving tournament staff to the back of the room when we overheard there were three quick eliminations at one table. We arrived in time to see Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Michael Laake stacking up a lot of chips. More than 200,000 ready to move.

Laake took his seat at Table 4 and picked up some laughs from his new tablemates.

“Someone is bagging up big from this table!” joked Zo Karim.

That’s because Laake isn’t the only big stack sitting among them. Karim himself is up to 240,000 while defending champ John Templeton is not too shabby with 175,000. That’s a healthy percentage of the 3.36 million chips in play today.
