$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 13:  2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante

Bo Gray

The last break rolled around with the field very close to the money bubble. Only 13 players remain and 11 will move on to Day 2 but it should really slow down now. The average stack is 50 big blinds and hand-for-hand is coming up.

Bo Gray is the latest to take the top spot, sitting with 334,000 and Daniel Zappulla is not far behind with 290,000.

Curtis King

We found a few climbers late in the day, trying to bag a big stack coming back on Sunday. Stephen Brite is up to 214,000 and Shane Melert is nearby with 210,000 while Curtis King is sitting right on 200K.

They will play out the rest of Level 12 before the next break and then we’ll see where everyone stands.

Championship Day 1A: Three Tables Remain

Flight A is quickly down to the last three tables of the day, a little surprising considering the average stack has hovered between 45 and 50 big blinds. But here we are, 13 knockouts away from the money.

Action should settle now as they begin to see a Championship cash in their future.

The second break ended, cards are back in the air for the Championship, and we have a new leader. Ami Rubin sits at the top with 154,000 while previous leader Peter Walsworth has 132,000.

Only three more levels plus the break if you want to get down here for Flight A. There’s time to jump in.

Championship Day 1A: Tough Table

$200,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 6:  400/800 with a 800 ante
Flight A Entries:  68

James Calderaro

Peter Walsworth spent a few orbits picking up chips but is now sandwiched between two tough players. WSOP bracelet winner AJ Kelsall is on his left with WSOP/WPT champ James Calderaro on his right.

Not squishy opponents.

Calderaro wasted no time mixing it up and sent a player out when his AdJc held against Ah5h.

Level 5:  300/600 with a 600 ante
Flight A Entries:  65

Matthew Leecy

After the first break, we found a special friend in today’s field; defending champ Matthew Leecy joined Flight A and looking to go back-to-back. He captured the Pinktober Poker Open Championship last year for $111,240.

Leecy holds a unique record for our room. That PPO Championship win made him our first player to own two Championship/Main Event titles, adding that one to his 2019 Tampa Poker Classic Main Event win.

Peter Walsworth

The first break ended and players returned to the action with 60 players in the game. That’s a great start and we’re looking forward to a busy weekend.

Peter Walsworth is the early frontrunner with 88,300 with Thomas Kornechuk second with 70,000 flat and Frank Weigel is doing just fine with 60,500.

They will play three more levels before the next break.
