After a long final table and heads-up match, Brett Apter came back from a short stack to defeat Hunter Cichy for the TPC Event12 title. It came down to Apter’s 
winning a flip against Cichy’s pocket fives for the last hand of the tournament and locking up the win.
Cichy earned $41,610 for his runner-up finish while Apter took home $67,330 and some momentum going into Flight B of the Championship tomorrow.

Table 11 has been having fun most of the day and a lot of it comes at the expense of Jeremy Becker. Everyone keeps wishing him a happy birthday and he keeps shaking his head with the attention.
The latest bit came when he found a cooler against Doug Marro.
“I doubled up the birthday boy!” Marro laughed after his kings ran into Becker’s aces to move Becker up to 110,800.
