Mackenzie Ramsay

David Brown moved all in for 15,600 from under the gun and the dealer threw an all-in chip at his spot.

“Give them all to me!” Brown joked and the dealer tossed the other two all-in chips his way.

It folded around to Mackenzie Ramsay in the big blind.

“I didn’t look,” Ramsay said. “I have to be live.”

He called and he was not live.

Brown: KcQc
Ramsay: Kd3h

Brown was looking good for the small double but Ramsay hit the As3s3c pretty well. The Ah turn and Kh river finished the board to send Brown out short of bagging.

Phil Strickland

A big three-way pot developed on Table 14 with a lot of chips at risk. With the board reading 7h3h3s, Scott Caracciolo and Phil Strickland checked and the cutoff bet 10,500. Caracciolo called from the small blind and Strickland check-raised all in for 75,300.

The cutoff waited a few minutes, folded his hand, and Caracciolo called.

Strickland: 7s7c
Caracciolo: Ad3d

Stickland’s flopped boat was huge against Caracciolo’s flopped trip threes and he had a big double after the 5s turn and 2h river.

Phil Strickland – 192,000
Scott Caracciolo – 40,000

Herbert Woodbery

Herb Woodbery and Michael Parisi built a pot and Parisi was at risk for 12,500. Woodbery did not have much more but had a chance to knock a player out.

Woodbery: QsTs
Parisi: AcJc

Both had big suited cards and it was Parisi nailing the Kc8c5c flop. The board finished 9h8s and Woodbery was left with only 2,800.

He found a nice hand to try and get back in the game but his AhJd was dominated by AcKh and he couldn’t come back on the Ts7s2d8h5h board.

Akers: 9h9c
Opponent: AhQd

Akers was ahead for the KO and the board ran clean Th6h5c7d7h to drop the field down to 70 players even.

Peter Walsworth

The field is dropping pretty quickly, a little faster than you would expect in an event this big. They are down to nearly seven tables when ten came back from dinner an hour ago.

Peter Walsworth is still around and he probably wouldn’t mind duplicating his last time at a SHR poker table. He trekked across the state in April to participate in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown and he won the $5,000 Big Stack for a cool six-digit payday.

The numbers were crunched and Flight A of the Main Event officially drew 189 entries. That is only two off last year’s opening flight and well within the expected numbers with two huge flights to come. That puts us more than halfway to the $300,000 Guarantee and we should get there tomorrow.

Cards are back in the air and we confirmed that the big stack did indeed belong to Dino Patsourakis. The SHR Tampa favorite is enjoying his time so far and laughing it up with his tablemates.

The clock shows an unofficial 189 entries in Flight A but we will wait for the smart folks to do all the proper accounting.
