The clock hit noon and cards went back in the air for Day 2 of PPO Event 3 with most of Level 15 to run. They will take a break at the end of Level 16 and blind levels increase to 40 minutes for the rest of the tournament.

Event 3 was the last multi-flight tournament before the PPO Championship kicks off tomorrow and the $400 Deep Stack drew 226 entries to surpass its $50,000 guarantee easily.

We saw 30 players make it through to Day 2, which gets underway at noon with everyone in the money and guaranteed at least $720. But the big money is up top, with $16,860 set aside for the Event 3 champ.

AJ Perez leads the return, with Gabriel Fuller, Yan Jiang, Maurice Haynes, and Nick Scholz rounding out the top five. The stacks are deep, and they’ll start playing 40-minute levels after the first break, so still anyone’s game.

It will be a fun warmup before the Championship.
