With the board reading , the cutoff player checked the flop and Anthony Askey bet 17,000. The cutoff announced all in with the bigger stack and Askey went into the tank. After a couple minutes, Askey called at risk for 74,500 to get an “oh no” from the cutoff.

It wasn’t as bad as it first appeared but Askey hit his spade draw immediately on the turn to lock up the pot before the river.

We have a familiar name at the top of the counts. WPT Tampa champ Brian Altman leads the Flight B field after dinner with a huge stack worth 374,500. Siddharth Siddharth sits in second with 310,000 followed by Paul Snead’s 282,500.

The clock ran out on Level 9 and tournament staff sent Flight B players on their one-hour dinner break while they colored the black chips out of play.

They will return at 6:30 pm and registration will close for the 2022 TPC Championship.

With the clock ticking down towards the dinner break, Courtney Webb found a spot to get her chips in the middle with a chance to double late. The board was complete and reading and she moved all in for 20,700.

Her opponent thought for a few minutes before mucking the pot to Webb and pushing her stack up to 64,300 before the extended break.

The last warmup before the Championship produced a final table that would make a great one in this tournament. The $2,200 preliminary Event 12 final table played out a marathon seven hours with a two-hour heads-up match between Brett Apter and Hunter Cichy.

Apter came from a short stack to win the title along with $67,300 while Cichy took home the $41,610 consolation prize.

Both took the day off and back in action today for Flight B.

Our new lead is Paul Snead as the SHRPO $5K One-Day champ’s 213,600 is the only stack in the room after 200K.

James Calderaro and RJ Sullivan were two of the most recent to jump in the game. “Caldo” final tabled the $1,100 tournament a few days ago and Sullivan finished third in the Winter Poker Open Main Event to close out 2021.
