The last preliminary before the SPS Championship was a $1,100 Eight-Max tournament that drew 71 entries for a prize pool worth $68,160. After a tough final table, James Casement took the top spot outright for $21,540 and his second major Tampa win.

The other trophy? It came in this tournament in 2025, so our defending one-day $1K champ kept the title for another year.

Registration closed for the $1,100 Eight-Max No-Limit Hold’em tournament with 71 entries, turning the $50,000 guarantee into a prize pool worth $68,160. The last nine places will be paid with $2,150 for a min-cash and $21,540 plus the SPS trophy up top for the winner.

With a big jump after the first break, the $1,100 Eight-Max tournament officially surpassed its $50,000 guarantee with time to run it higher. They will play through Level 8, take another break, and registration will close when they return to action at 3:30 pm.

Players sit with 40K in their stack and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm.
