Cards are back in the air for the last two levels of the day with 154 entries in the game and a few more expected before they back up in two hours.

We’ve had a different leader after each break and this time is no different. James Calderaro is the fresh face at the top of the counts with 217,200 followed by Ken O’Donnell with 198,000. Always steady, Bin Weng is quietly (as possible as you can with Steve Buckner at your table) up to 115,000.

We have a great group of regulars in today’s field and grinding up a stack. Friends like Prital Virdee, Clyde Maliauka, Riley Price, Joel Deutsch, and Karl Manouchakian trying to keep the title here it the room.

Virdee, Price, and Maliauka also have a little more at stake; they are the top three in points on the SPS Leaderboard trying to take home a sweet new 2024 Dengo Rover XL golf cart.

Level 3:  200/400 with a 400 ante

Bin Weng

The SPS Championship field just got a little tougher when Big Weng took a seat at Table 9. The WPT Poker Showdown Champ (and WSOPC National Champ) joined a lineup that was already tough with Steve “Cuz” Buckner, Paul Stanechewski, Chad Lipton, Jerry Silva, Shane Melert, and Sanjib Acharya.

Weng captured the WPT Poker Showdown title in 2023 for $1,128,250 and followed that up with a $2,227,054 Everyone for One Drop win a few months later. He has over $9,000,000 in career earnings and a favorite in any tournament he enters.

Championship Day 1B: Gabe Fuller Leads Early

$2,500 SPS Championship (Re-Entry)
$500,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 3:  200/400 with a 400 ante
Day 1B Entries:  98

Gabe Fuller

There were few remarkable stacks at the empty tables during the break, some hovering just under 100K, until we came upon Gabe Fuller’s seat. The Tampa favorite is up to 125,000 after two levels after more than 3x-ing his 40K starting stack and leading early action with a long way to go.
