On the final day of the 2021 WPT Tampa series, the final event was an afternoon $5,000 buy-in eight-max no limit hold’em event, and it attracted 33 players to generate a total prizepool of $156,750.

The final four players finished in the money, and Zhuang Ruan defeated Filipp Khavin heads-up for the title, the trophy, and $66,837.

After the elimination of Dustin Goldklang in fifth place, the final four players are in the money, guaranteed at least $21,490 each.

Shortly after Goldklang’s elimination, Arthur Conan doubled thru chipleader Zhuang Ruan, with Conan’s holding up against Ruan’s .

The Event 21 field is small but talented, the $5,000 buy-in attracting some of the best players in the area. We caught Tampa Poker Room regular Jeremy Becker having to deal with the likes of two WPT Champions; Frank Stepuchin and Ryan Van Sanford

We are closing out the WPT Tampa series with the biggest buy-in tournament on the schedule. Event 21 has a $5,000 buy-in with a one-day format and starts at 11 am.

They’ll sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and play 30-minute levels. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm. It will be a big prize pool with a great field before we crown the last champion of the series.
