A good time for Haas to pick up kings and they held as he made a set on the Ks7s6h2d5h board to double up against the chip leader.

Altman: Ac9s
Berman: Kc9h

Berman was in trouble with second pair of kings versus Altman’s paired ace and he could not find a save on the Qh turn or 6h river to exit in seventh place.

Brian Altman – 23,900,000 (159 bb)
Dave Berman – Eliminated in Seventh Place ($100,030)

Tournament staff paused the clock to move the last six players to the WPT Tampa Championship final final table. With five minutes remaining in the level, they were sent on a 15-minute break and blind levels will go to 60 minutes each until heads up.

Championship: Steve Queen – 8th Place ($77,900)

Altman: KcJd
Queen: 8h8s

Altman paired his king on the flop to take the lead over Queen’s eights. The 4s turn and Jh river did not change a thing and Queen was eliminated in eighth place.

Steven Queen – Eliminated in 8th Place ($77,900)

Chop central so far today at the WPT Tampa Championship final table. After Gabriel Abusada and Jonathan Jaffe had a chop on the river, we had two more big hands that ended the same way.

First it was Dave Berman getting his stack in against Brian Altman with AsJs versus AhJh. Both had flush freerolls but the AcTc8d2h3c board had them finish in a tie.

Soon after, John Haas was all in versus Abusada and this time it was KdKs versus KhKc for another chopped pot.

Jonathan Jaffe opened to 350,000 from under the gun and Gabriel Abusada called on the button to see the AcKs3s flop. Jaffe checked, Abusada bet 1,000,000 and Jaffe called.

Both players checked down the Js turn and Jh river and flipped up their cards. Abusada flopped two pair with Ad3c but was counterfeited with the running jacks. Jaffe held Ah5s and earned half of the pot.

Gabriel Abusada – 7,400,000 (49 bb)
Jonathan Jaffe – 6,300,000 (42 bb)

Championship: T.K. Miles – 9th Place ($61,325)

Altman: AcKc
Miles: JhJd

Miles needed his jacks to hold to double and the Qs7d4s flop was safe. His bad news came on the Kd turn and our All-Time Money leader Miles was eliminated in ninth place for $61,325.

Brian Altman – 13,775,000 (92 bb)
