Level 8 is coming to a close which means time it running out to join the field with a prize pool over $300,000. Good money for a one-day tournament.

Two-time WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open champ and three-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Ryan Van Sanford were two more tough entries to the tournament.

The field is growing and the field is getting tougher. The 142 entries put the prize pool at $284,000 with less than an hour to add to it.

Two more talented players were found among the crowd including Jake Schwartz and Justin Liberto. Schwartz is a Florida poker legend with six WPT final tables, two WPT runner-ups, and a WSOP second place. Liberto has trophies from all over the place. He owns a WSOP bracelet, six WSOP Circuit rings, and a WPTDeepStacks title.

More than $7 million earned between them. The talent is coming to town for the Championship.

Players are back in their seats after the first break of the day and the prize pool topped $200,000 while they were gone. There’s still time to get down here for the warmup with late registration open until 4:30 pm.

Rob Brown had a nice few levels, sending one player out with a set of sevens over top pair, and moved up to a double starting stack. David DiBernardi is hoping for another deep run after the WSOP Circuit Tampa winner made last  night’s $1,100 NLH final table.

The $2,200 NLH field is smaller than most but still increbily talented. The high buy-in tournament is great way for some to prepare for the $3,500 WPT Tampa Championship this weekend and it shows.

Brian Hastings, Rodney Turvin, WSOP bracelet winner Michael Wang, Hollywood champ Fernando Rodriguez, and two-time WSOPC ring winner (and fresh off a Wynn win) Spencer Champlin are a few we found on the first walkthrough.
