Karl Manouchakian

We caught up with Table 10 with Karl Manouchakian all in for 328,000 and Ronald Sullivan moved all in over the top to put Jebhar Patterson into deep thought. Patterson called all in at risk for about 510,000 to create a massive pot.

Sullivan: 9d9h
Manouchakian: KdTd
Patterson: AcKc

Sullivan was ahead with the nines but the QdJs7c made things interesting. Manouchakian and Patterson had draws and blockers but the Jc turn and 5s river were bad news for both. Sullivan won the pot, knocked out two tough players, and took the lead.

Ronald Sullivan – 1,966,000 (98 bb)
Jebhar Patterson – Eliminated in 36th Place ($5,580)
Karl Manouchakian – Eliminated in 37th Place ($5,580)

Chrissy Holubeck

Howard Feingold opened to 35,000 from middle position and Chrissy Holubeck moved all in for 59,000 from the cutoff. Jacob Ferro thought about coming along from the big blind but folded before Feingold called.

“You have a pair?” Holubeck asked. She was disappointed at the answer.

Holubeck: 9s9c
Feingold: JsJh

“Give her a nine!” Feingold asked of the dealer.

Holubeck was dominated by the bigger pair and couldn’t find a save as the board ran QsTh4d6c8h to send the Poker Room regular out of the Main Event.

Cody Hernandez

After a long stretch, we have a new chip leader in the Main Event. Players returned from break and our new top stack belongs to Cody Hernandez with 1,491,000. Alex Rusinovas is still just fine with 1,220,000 followed by Aaron Thivyanathan with 1,077,000.

Eric Valerio (996,000) and Robert Michener (917,000) round out the top five as they head to a new level.

Blinds are up to 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 ante and the average stack is about 445,000 (37 bb) and everyone is now guaranteed at least $4,245.

Main Event: Double Knockout for Tommy Bates

Level 17:  5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante

Tommy Bates

Tommy Bates found himself in an ideal situation right before the break. He was sitting in the big blind watching as Frank Pasquale and Tim Conn got their chip in the middle and he was holding AhAc.

An easy call for Bates and he dominated the 8c8h and KcTd of his opponents. The KdQs2s flop only gave him a tiny sweat and he knocked both players out after the Qd turn and 5d river.

Tommy Bates – 697,000 (70 bb)
Frank Pasquale – Eliminated in 56th Place ($4,245)
Tim Conn – Eliminated in 57th Place ($3,775)

AJ Kelsall

We missed the preflop action but the end result was AJ Kelsall all in for about 230,000 against Peter Vitantonio.

Vitantonio: AcKd
Kelsall: JhJc

It was a race to start but Vitantonio virtually slammed the door on the AsKsKc flop. Kelsall made a set on the Js turn but couldn’t duplicate Chris Hyden’s runner-runner quads when the river 5s finished the board.

Kelsall was eliminated in 65th place, another table was broken up, and everyone remaining hit a pay jump.

Peter Vitantonio – 660,000 (66 bb)
AJ Kelsall – Eliminated in 65th Place ($3,395)
