Event 9 of the Winter Poker Open packed the Poker Room on a Monday evening with 288 entries in the $180 Triple Stack Special. The tournament went deep into Tuesday and Edgardo Rosario captured his first Tampa title with an outright win for $10,362.

The tournament easily beat its $20,000 guarantee and put $41,470 in the prize pool with the last 29 set to make some money. But fate and luck had something to say about that. On the money bubble, both Daniel Salazar and Veton Kastrati were eliminated on the same hand at separate tables and chopped up a min-cash.

After several close calls, Rosario took home his first Tampa trophy after he defeated Kevin Ragusa heads-up in the early morning hours. Ragusa banked $6,380 for his runner-up finish while Rosario took the lion’s share of the prize pool.
