The second day of the Winter Poker Open awarded the third trophy of the series and it was in the specialty game of Omaha 8/Stud 8. We had another great turnout with 71 entries playing the game and Jonathan Miller took the top spot after a heads-up deal saw him earn $5,295 along with the trophy.

Our players continue to support the non-hold’em game and today’s $300 Omaha 8/Stud 8 drew a great 71 entries for the split-pot mixed game. The combined to create a prize pool worth $17,750 and the last eight spots will earn some money with $650 for a min-cash and $6,160 up top for the winner.

Another day and another non-hold’em game on the Winter Poker Open schedule. Event 4 is a $300 buy-in tournament at 2 pm that will rotate games between Limit Omaha 8 and Stud 8.

Players start with 10,000 stack and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 6:45 pm following the dinner and they may re-enter as often as needed.

Cards fly at the start of the hour and we expect another talented field.

11AM: Event 3 Day 1A – $400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

• $100,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
• Players begin with 20,000 in chips
• Levels 1-14 last 30 minutes; Levels 15+ last 40 minutes
• Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 9 (3:30pm)
• Day 1 will end when 10% of field remains
