Event 4: Ken O’Donnell – 6th Place ($2,432)

$570 Eight-Handed NLH (Re-Entry)
$30,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 21:  10,000/15,000 with a 15,000 ante
Players Remaining:  5 of 106

Ken O’Donnell

Fernando Rodriguez opened to 30,000 from the button and Ken O’Donnell announced all in from the small blind. Jacob Naumann folded his big blind and Rodriguez shrugged then called for a huge pot. Both players had over 500,000 and the stacks would be counted down after the hand.

Rodriguez: AdKh
O’Donnell: 7d7c

It was a race for the biggest pot of the tournament so far. Rodriguez paired his ace on the AhTs3h flop to take the lead and neither the 3d turn not 8c river could help O’Donnell.

O’Donnell was all in for 515,000 and Rodriguez had him barely covered with 565,000 to send him out in sixth place.

Fernando Rodriguez – 1,110,000 (74 bb)
Ken O’Donnell – Eliminated in 6th Place ($2,432)

Event 4: Deborah Farmer – 7th Place ($1,887)

$570 Eight-Handed NLH (Re-Entry)
$30,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 20:  5,000/15,000 with a 15,000 ante
Players Remaining:  6 of 106

Deborah Farmer

Ken O’Donnell opened to 35,000 and Deborah Farmer three-bet shoved for 130,000 next to act. The rest of the table folded and O’Donnell called.

O’Donnell: QcTh
Farmer: Jd9d

Farmer had two, live suited cards to double back into the game but could not find a save on the 6d5h2cKsAs run out. The former Tampa Summer Deep Stack Poker Series winner was sent out in seventh place after a great run.

Ken O’Donnell – 510,000 (34 bb)
Deborah Farmer – Eliminated in 7th Place ($1,887)

Event 4: A.J. Kelsall – 8th Place ($1,518)

$570 Eight-Handed NLH (Re-Entry)
$30,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 20:  5,000/15,000 with a 15,000 ante
Players Remaining:  7 of 106

A.J. Kelsall

Karl Manouchakian opened to 30,000 from middle position and it folded to A.J. Kelsall in the small blind. He three-bet shipped for 135,000 and talked Manouchakian into a call.

“Come on Karl,” Kelsall joked. “The price is right.”

Manouchakian called and Kelsall was ahead.

Manouchakian: KsQs
Kelsall: QhQd

It looked good for Kelsall but he started standing up after the KhTd8d put Manouchakian in the lead. He paused when he picked up a diamond draw on the 5d turn but the Js sent him off his second final table of the series.

Karl Manouchakian – 620,000 (41 bb)
A.J. Kelsall – Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,518)

Event 4: Michael Scoma – 9th Place ($1,266)

Players Remaining:  8 of 106

Michael Scoma

Jacob Naumann opened to 25,000 from under the gun and it folded around to Michael Scoma in the big blind. He moved all in for 35,000 and Naumann quickly called.

Naumann: AsAc
Scoma: 6h5h

Scoma ran into a monster of a hand and Naumann improved on the Ah9h8d flop. Scoma was drawing to a gutshot straight, missed the Qd turn and Naumann overkilled it with a boat on the Qs river.

Jacob Naumann – 380,000 (38 bb)
Michael Scoma – Eliminated in 9th Place ($1,266)

Event 4: Queens Cracked for Joe Bartholdi; Final Table Set

Tournament staff paused the clock and the nine remaining players redrew seats for the final table. The average stack is 295,000 or 29.5 big blinds.

Joe Bartholdi

On the third round of hand-for-hand action, Joe Bartholdi was in the small blind, put the big blind player all in, and he called for his last 33,000.

Bartholdi: 9h4d
Opponent: QsQc

His opponent picked up a big bubble hand but Bartholdi flopped a diamond draw on the Kd8d3d board that got there on the Qd turn. The big blind had outs to make a full house but blanked the Jh river to exit on the bubble.

Karl Manouchakian

Only two players hit the rail after the dinner break with the stacks still deep and the structure slow.

Tampa regular Karl Manouchakian seems to be making the most of his time during that level. He’s now up to 289,000 and a contender for the title later this evening.
