It was a typical split pot grind but the Pot Limit Omaha 8/Big O mix tournament made it down to the eight-handed final table with Ramses Rosa leading the way and Joseph Orsino looking for his second cash of the day (earlier in the day in Event 3).

They are now technically on the money bubble with eight remaining and seven getting paid. One more knockout and the rest make some money.

Registration closed on Event 6 at the start of Level 10 and we had another great turnout for a one-day tournament. The Omaha 8/Stud 8 mix event drew 69 entries to create a prize pool worth $17,250.

The last seven players will earn some money with a min-cash worth $776 and the OE winner will walk away with $6,382.

Keeping up the non-hold’em portion of the schedule, today we have two new Omaha games and the first is a mix at 2pm. Event 6 will switch between Pot Limit Omaha 8 and Big O every eight hands and it should be a fun tournament.

The $300 buy-in event will start players with 12,000 stacks and all levels will last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 6:30pm with unlimited re-entries during that time.

Since this is a one-day tournament, we will award another Tampa Poker Classic guitar trophy before the night is through.
