Rex Clinkscales

After doubling up Quentin Jones, Rex Clinkscales had less than one big blind after paying his ante and put his chips in trying to get back in the game. He was all in from under the gun and it folded Justin Donato who picked up rebate on his big blind.

Donato: Ad3h
Clinkscales: QcJd

Clinkscales had two live cards to double and paired the Jc5s2s flop to take the lead. He needed to dodge an ace or a four, the 7c turn was no big deal, but the 4s river gave Donato a wheel to send our defending champion out in seventh place.

Justin Donato – 1,700,000 (21 bb)
Rex Clinkscales – Eliminated in 7th place ($18,970)

Quentin Jones

Rex Clinkscales opened the action from the hijack and Quentin Jones moved all in from the big blind for 1,810,000. Clinkscales called and he was dominated.

Jones: KsKh
Clinkscales: JdJc

Jones was ahead with the monster and virtually locked up the hand on the AsKc2h flop. Clinkscales needed running miracle cards but Jones overkilled with the case king on the Kd turn.

Quentin Jones – 3,730,000 (47 bb)
Rex Clinkscales – 85,000 (1 bb)

Charles Kahrs waits for the board

After doubling up Quentin Jones, Charles Kahrs needed to make another move and open-shoved for 865,000 from early position. It folded around the Justin Donato in the small blind and he called.

Kahrs: Ac9c
Donato: KsQs

Kahrs was in the lead and improved on the Js9d5c flop. He needed to fade the two overs and a gutshot draw to stay alive and the 6h turn and 5h river kept him in the game.

Charles Kahrs – 1,920,000 (24 bb)
Justin Donato – 2,250,000 (28 bb)

Quentin Jones

Charles Kahrs opened the action from middle position and Quentin Jones three-bet shoved for 1,700,000 from the cutoff. The buttons and blinds released and Kahrs called.

Jones: 9d9s
Kahrs: AhQc

It was a race that Jones needed to win to stay in the game and he never had a sweat on the 8s6c4c2d4s board to double up.

Quentin Jones – 3,560,000 (59 bb)
Charles Kahrs – 975,000 (16 bb)

John O’Neal

It was four-ways to a AsQhJs flop and John O’Neal moved all in from the big blind position. Michael Cohen called next to act then Chaz Wexler and Quentin Jones folded.

Cohen: KcTh
O’Neal: Ts6s

Cohen flopped the Broadway straight and O’Neal needed to find a spade for the win or a king for his Broadway chop. The Qd was no help and O’Neal was another quick exit after the 6d river.

Michael Cohen – 4,200,000 (84 bb)
John O’Neal – Eliminated in 8th place ($15,120)

Charles Kahrs

Soon after Christopher Agnello went off the final table, Charles Kahrs took his shot with a three-bet shove against Michael Cohen. The chip leader called with a chance to get the final table to seven in a hurry.

Cohen: 8c8h
Kahrs: AsTd

It was a race for Kahrs’ tournament and he moved ahead on the AhQhJc flop. The 4s turn and Ks river changed nothing and Kahrs picked up an early double.

Charles Kahrs – 1,930,000 (38 bb)
Michael Cohen – 3,250,000 (65 bb)

Main Event: Christopher Agnello – 9th Place ($11,340)

Christopher Agnello

We had fireworks on the first hand of the final table. Chaz Wexler opened the action from middle position and Christopher Agnello moved all in from the hijack. The rest of the table released and Wexler quickly called.

Wexler: TdTc
Agnello: QsQc

Agnello was in great shape for an early double up and the Js6c4s flop was no big deal. The 5s turn left Wexler with only one out, the non-spade ten remaining in the deck, and it spiked on the Th river to complete the shocking first hand.

Chaz Wexler – 2,050,000 (41 bb)
Christopher Agnello – Eliminated in 9th place ($11,340)
