It was a rollercoaster three hands for Vasyl Chubei. First he doubled through Blake Whittington, then Whittington doubled through him on the next hand, and then he got his last 475,000 in on the next from the small blind.

Yan Jiang looked him up in the big and Chubei needed to hold.

Yan Jiang limped from the small blind and Rafael Reis moved all in for his last 815,000 from the big. Jiang thought for a minute and called.

Reis was ahead in the race and stayed that way after the flop. That changed on the turn to move Jiang out front. The board finished with river to send Reis out in 12th place after a tough run over the last two levels.

Then on the last hand before the break, Nancy Dang ran her sevens into jacks to exit in 11th place.

Level 27 came around with only limited action over the last 20 minutes other than a big move by Cheri Beatty.

She doubled earlier through Adam Briggs and found another through Shawn Sorgi. Beatty picked up aces again and they held against Sorgi’s big slick for the double.

Frank Weigel opened to 115,000 from middle position and Yan Jiang came along next to act. They went to a flop and both players checked.

The turn came , Weigel checked, Jiang bet 100,000 and Weigel called. The river was and Weigel tossed out 165,000. Jiang moved her stack in the middle for 400,000 even and Weigel called.

He flipped over for a flopped set of fours but Jiang was best with for the turned Broadway straight to double.

The hand dropped Weigel down to eight big blinds and he was gone a few hands later.

Soon after, Bryce McVay open-shoved for 500,000 on the dot and Adam Briggs called from the cutoff.

McVay was behind but live, missed the flop, then paired the turn. The river finished the board and McVay doubled up.

Then Briggs open to 80,000 and Cheri Beatty moved all in for 340,000 from the small blind. Briggs called with another chance to knock someone out.
