At the first break, Steve Blackmon and Michael Colangelo were the two biggest stacks and they are still the top two after the second break. But they’ve switched up.

While they were neck-and-neck three levels ago, Colangelo now holds a big lead with 249,900 while Blackmon sits in second with 128,500.

Flight B will cruise through three more levels, take a break, and registration will close at 5:45 pm.

Flight B of the $1,100 is about to take its next break, and it looks like we’ll reach the $300,000 guarantee before we load up the last flight tomorrow. With 163 entries now, we are two dozen new ones away from the magic number.

The $1,100 tournament isn’t the only one with a nice turnout this afternoon; the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha 8 is doing just fine on its own on the other side of the room. We have 57 entries heading into the first break, including some of the top PLO players in the state.

Some early entrants include John Holly, Chris Labrie, Ramses Rosa, Zhen Cai, Alexander Orlov, and Matt Bretzfield.

Three levels are in the books, the first break is complete, and we have two early frontrunners. Steve Blackmon leads the field coming back with 116,800 and Michael Colangelo isn’t far behind with 114,900.

They will play through three more levels before another break rolls around and by then we should have a better idea if we’ll hit the $300K guarantee today or early tomorrow.

We ran a very nice Pot-Limit Omaha tournament yesterday and we have another today, except this time we’re adding the high/low variant. Event 9 is a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha 8 tournament that will keep the action moving.

Players start with 25K stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one-day trophy event. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the st20art of Level 9 at 4:30 pm. They have a 30-minute dinner break scheduled at 6:30 pm and return to find out who gets the next SPS trophy.

The second of three flights for SPS Event 7 starts at 11 am in the Poker Room and the $1,100 buy-in tournament will get really close to its $300,000 guarantee later today. They put 122 entries in the tournament yesterday and only it needs only 188 new ones are needed.

They might get there today, but if not, it’s a surefire lock to get there early on Saturday morning.

Players start with 30K stacks and all levels last 40 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 at 5:45pm. Flight B will continue until 12.5% of the field remains and survivors will come back to the Poker Room on Sunday at 11 am for Day 2.
