The final flight of SPS Event 14 gets underway at 1 pm in the Poker Room and the $700 buy-in tournament has already surpassed its $100,000 guarantee. Now they just run it up.

The next mixed game on the mixed game on the SPS schedule is Event 17 at 11 am in the Poker Room with a $400 T.E.R.O.S. It’s H.O.R.S.E. except change out Hold’em for Limit 2-7 Triple Draw and change the order of the games.

The $400 H.E.R.O.S. tournament drew a great crowd of 82 entries for a prize pool worth $27,470. After a tough final table, Sam Sternfield captured his second major Tampa title for $8,110.

Sternfield captured the $300 H.O.R.S.E. title during the 2021 Tampa Winter Poker Open and also has three major titles in Hollywood, one of a handful of players with wins at both properties.

Rodney Turvin has the big stack among the small group with 478,000 followed by Steve Dees with 371,000.

Flight B will continue until 12 players remain and they will advance to Day 2 on Tuesday in the money. Players must bag to cash in the tournament.
