Wesley Haymond

Wesley Haymond began his Day 2 with 150,500 and he’s been running it up over the last few levels. He is the new leader with a huge castle worth 702,000 with Robert Lebeau the closest to him with 550,000.

Fred Paradis is moving up the counts, surprising no one in Tampa, and is third with 522,000. Other big stacks belong to Ken Fishman (433,000), Brian Ray (412,000) and Dion Jagroo (400,000).

Championship: Slow Going; Next Break Coming Up

$2,500 SPS Championship (Re-Entry)
Prize Pool: $684,000 | Structure | Payouts
Level 13:  2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante

Another levels is almost in the books and the Championship is still at 53 and a long hike left to get to the money bubble. Tournament staff will color off the purple chips and we’ll get another look at our leaders.

Championship: Marsha Wolak Representing

$2,500 SPS Championship (Re-Entry)
Prize Pool: $684,000 | Structure | Payouts
Level 13:  2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante
Players Remaining:  57 of 304

Marsha Wolak

The Championship pumped the brakes after the previous break in the action, losing only a handful of players with the deep stacks and slow structure. The average stack is 53 big blinds so they can settle in for the grind to the money.

Marsha Wolak is making the most of her time and the lone female representative in the field after Nadya Magnus and Yan Jiang were eliminated. The pickleball national champ (and 2011 WSOP Ladies bracelet winner) is having a good day so far and up to 254,500 while looking for another deep run after her third place finish in Event 1.

Championship: Robert Lebeau Continues to Lead

Robert Lebeau

Another break has come and gone and the Championship is down to the last eight tables with 64 players. The money bubble is in view but it won’t get here before the next break.

Robert added to his lead and returned to a stack worth 524,500 with Dion Jagroo the closest to him with 480,500.

Championship: Brian Ray Up; Tables Down

$2,500 SPS Championship (Re-Entry)
Prize Pool: $684,000 | Structure | Payouts
Level 11:  1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Players Remaining:  72 of 304

Brian Ray

Brian Ray is the latest to spin up a stack, sitting at 305,000 in the early parts of Day 2. They are still a good ways away from the money bubble but another table broke to get the field to 72.

Bubble play is still a couple hours away but never too early to start getting ready with a big stack to punish.
