2021 WPT Tampa Series in Review

After hosting four WPTDeepStacks Tampa series, it was finally time for the WPT main tour to come to town. The inaugural WPT Tampa series kicked off June 9 with a $1,000,000 guarantee tournament that drew a record crowd of 4,852.

The series featured 21 primary events and the headliner was the $2,000,000 guarantee first-ever WPT Tampa Championship. The Championship drew 1,165 for a $3,728,000 prize pool, both setting records for us, and in the end, it was Brian Altman claiming his third career WPT title.

Overall, the series drew 9,068 entries over 21 tournaments for combined prize pools worth $7,923,713.

More than 9,000 entries and nearly $8 million, a successful series however you look at it. Thank you and thank you to our old friends and those visiting for the first time. You helped put us create something special over the last two weeks and we look forward to seeing everyone back for our next.
